Abstract:

The article initiates dogmatic and comparative legal research on a private-law regulation of Internet in Brazil. Until 23 April 2014 (when Brazil passed Internet law, also known as the Marco Civil da Internet) legislators around the world consistently used the institutions of public law to regulate the Internet (legal relations arising from the use of this medium). This article describes the main provisions of the Marco Civil da Internet, making assessment, and in some places referring to the European regulation.
