  The considerations presented in this paper focus on the contemporary Polish family in the context of various aspects of its functioning, with an attempt to present selected areas of living conditions and to indicate the factors determining them. The time frame of the research on which the study was based, coinciding with the celebrations commemorating the 100th anniversary of Poland’s regaining independence, was conducive to reflection on the changes in the system of values of Poles and on their attitudes.;
  
  
  
  Celem artykułu jest rozważanie zróżnicowanych aspektów funkcjonowania współczesnej polskiej rodziny, prezentacja wybranych obszarów warunków jej życia oraz wskazanie czynników je determinujących. Termin realizacji badań stanowiących podstawę opracowania, zbieżny z obchodami setnej rocznicy odzyskania przez Polskę niepodległości, sprzyjał refleksji nad zmianami w systemie wartości Polaków oraz ich postawami.
