Abstract:

The objective phenomena such as the processes of globalization and international migration create new situation, toward which societies and states need to take a stand. This situation raises a number of challenges one the level of the functioning of modern, pluralistic communities in the context of human culture. Culture can be a factor of antagonism when it is confronted with different cultural system, at the same time culture unifies community around shared values separates from the beliefs of another group. The events taking place in the Europe being an effect of mass migration from the North Africa and the Middle East (MENA) after the Arab Spring raises questions about the perception of the security in Western societies. This paper concerns the issue of securitization of the migration phenomenon, known as a migration crisis.
