Abstract:

Utopia and education, and their mutual relations, are discussed in the article. The author points out a hermeneutic impulse for understanding the relationship between utopia and education: the experience of questionnes or the questionnes of experience. It is expressed in the motif of being a guardian of openness and the possibility of creativity. The author also offers an intellectual exercise to grasp the meaning of education that goes beyond the instrumental meaning (education as a tool to improve the world). The article ends with the conclusion that education is, in a sense, eudcation, that is, a participation in the joy of recognizing a happy, fulfilled life. Such recognition includes the joy of keeping possibilities (of life) open.  

W artykule postawione zostaje pytanie o utopię i edukację oraz o ich wzajemne związki. Autorka ukazuje impuls hermeneutycznego odczytania tych związków w doświadczeniu pytajności i pytajności doświadczenia, które streszcza się w motywie strzeżenia otwartości i możliwości tworzenia. Autorka proponuje ćwiczenie intelektualne (utopistyczne), aby spróbować dostrzec inny niż użytkowo--instrumentalny (narzędzie naprawy lub ulepszenia świata) sens edukacji. W rezultacie dochodzi do wniosku, że edukacja posiada możliwość i rzeczywistość bycia eudukacją, czyli udziałem w radości rozpoznawania i otwierania możliwości szczęśliwego życia.
