Abstract:

In the study, the authors present the current model of a driving ban in the petty offences law. Considering historical references, they discuss the solutions adopted in this respect, taking into account interpretative doubts regarding selected aspects of its functioning. They also identify areas which, in their opinion, prove the infertility of the driving ban. The considerations are accompanied by proposals for further modifications which, they believe, can lead to more rational normative solutions. Due to the wide scope of the issue raised, the study was divided into two parts.
