Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to answer the question which law will be applicable to contracts concluded between consumers who have their habitual residence in the Republic of Poland and sellers located in the People’s Republic of China. This is not a hypo-thetical problem. It has grown against the background of an increased activity of Polish consumers on Chinese e-commerce websites, especially on AliExpress. The indication of the applicable law is of key importance for determining the entitlements which the consumer has in case of concluding a transaction.
