Abstract:

The article shows the role and place of the Magdeburg law in the codification of Ukrainian law in XVIII-early XIX century. Also in the article were analyzed the conditions and causes of the codification of Ukrainian law. Was high lightened in details the creation of the Code 1743, "Law, which is suing malorosiyskiy people", "Process kratkogo prykaznogo" 1734, "Court and punishment in the courts malorosiyskyh" 1750, "Collection of malorosiyskiy rights" 1807. In the article the sources of Magdeburg law that were used in the codification of Ukrainian law were investigated.
