Abstract:

The aim of the article is to present the history of the Polish Tadeusz Kosciuszko School of Homeland subjects in London and to draw attention to the roles of teachers and parents in upholding Polish tradition and culture in the education of Polish children and young persons in exile. In order to implement the research, a monographic method, criticism of the analysis of documents and previous literature in this area was applied. The techniques used included internal and external analysis of documents, qualitative and quantitative analysis and formal analysis of documents. Presentation of various forms of cooperation between the teaching staff and parents in the process of national education and children’s education, the aim of which is to maintain Polishness, provide children and young persons with the basics of the Polish language, transfer knowledge about the history and geography of Poland and instil love for the homeland, its culture, traditions and the raising of the younger generation.
