This issue had not been yet a subject of a wider analysis in the literature. The study consists of three main parts. In the first the author discusses issues which are an initial point of reference to the further discussions, in particular the issue of forms of employment, the separation of labour relationship, the compensatory liability of employees and the liability under Chapter 8 of the GDPR. In the second part the author analyses the main research issue and attempts to describe the liability which may be held by employers and employed on the basis of civil contracts for the breach of the GDPR provisions. The third part is dedicated to the summary of the considerations and conclusions. The division into employment and non-employment labour is essential for the issues presented.
