TY - GEN A1 - Dyduch, Joanna N2 - On the pages of the given book, the reader will find analysis of Polish-Israeli relations in the years 1990-2009. The analysis has been made on various levels of the bilateral relations, among others: political, diplomatic, economic and cultural. The study of bilateral Polish-Israeli relations proves that they have undergone intensive and profound transformations. The intention of the author was to capture and indicate the critical moments and turning points in the mutual relations. It was also important to reflect on the mechanisms underlying the development of Polish-Israeli cooperation. The influence of the international environment on mutual Polish-Israeli relations, has been also taken into account, the special attention has been given to the influent and importance of international organizations such as the European Union or the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The tiled of the book itself in short reflects the main research hypothesis and has become the main forecast for the Polish – Israeli relations future developments. There are many reasons to argue that the mutual relations between Poland and Israel became a special kind of partnership. Moreover, politicians, diplomats, sometimes social activists or businessmen in both countries define this partnership as a strategic one. So the main purpose of the dissertation was to diagnose the state of mutual relations, to point out the factors affecting and influence them, and to try to identify further directions of their development.
