 abstract={The article discusses the influence of Interpol’s activities on security of citizens of EU Member States. Interpol’s competence covers coordination of international police cooperation, mainly as far as criminal intelligence issues and police searches of suspects are concerned. The information and intelligence are collected, processed and exchanged in order to support the development of international cooperation in the fight against cross-border crime. The competency despite not arise directly from the Statute of Interpol, forms elements affecting the internal security of the Member States of the organization. The issue concerning the impact of Interpol’s operational activities on security of citizens of EU Member States is extremely complex because of specific legal status of the Organisation.},
