 abstract={In Poland four different elections took place between 2014 and 2015: presidential, to the European Parliament, to the national parliament and local. They resulted in changes not only in public life, but also in the remaining spheres of social life. The authors of the articles published in the collective work "Selected social and political aspects of elections in Poland in 2014-2015 years" concentrated on some of them.On the one hand they made an attempt to answer the questions rooted in the tradition of political science research, and concerning the importance of election results on the process of legitimization of the political system, deficiencies of the system of the representative democracy and the political activity of different political circles.On the other hand, they concentrated on social and cultural consequences of elections, examining the participation of representatives of national minorities, the role of social media and the way political problems were perceived in satirical drawings.},
