I depict the methods of teaching the Veda, which have been handed down by wordof mouth, without being transcribed on paper. It also explains some very important notions relevant to the topic, such as: sutta, Buddhavacana, formula, stadardised phrases, repetition etc. I analyze thesignificance of the direct transmission of the Buddha’s teaching from master to pupil with the teaching methods of the 12-step learning process.
