 abstract={The article presents issues related to the United States methods of appointing and recall prosecutors. Author focused mostly on direct methods, especially because in most of the States prosecutors are chosen in general election. It is an interesting legal solution from comparative point of view. In some states, legislatures also provides the possibility of appeal of prosecutors by recall procedure, which also includes a general election.},
