 abstract={The article was intended to show the operation and use of historical-legal method – the systemic version for the study of law of evidence in the Polish criminal procedure, especially in the era of the changes. The aim of the study was to determine that the historical-legal method – the systemic version enables the analysis of the functioning elements of the law in the system of law now and in the past. The article contains a comprehensive description of the historical-legal method, the systemic method in the historical-legal research and attempts to apply the historical-legal method – the systemic version in the analysis of law of evidence in criminal proceedings. The analysis by the historical-legal method – the systemic version proves that the object of the research is only a segment of a complex system that has stood for years. The historical-legal method – the systemic version described in the article is one of the methods of rational action, undertaken in research.},
