 abstract={Borderscapes (cf. Perera, 2007) are places of social and linguistic diffusion, places of cultural and economic hybridization, places in which the inhabitants have the opportunity and also obligation to open themselves towards the neighbour's language and culture. Based on the theory of social integration by Heckmann (2006) (that actually focuses on integration of immigrants), the paper discusses the condition of cultural integration (one of the four fields of social integration, cf.
