Its object can be a donated property in the contract or transferred in the testament to the Muslim Religious Association in Poland for the religious-educational or charitable purposes. The condition for the constitution of waqf is, in the case of inheritance, its acceptance, and in any case it is the assigning of the features of waqf to a given property by indicated Muslim religious authorities and the approval of the competent minister. Waqf property is subject to a special legal regime. First of all, it cannot be sold, it is not subject to usucaption and it cannot be mortgaged. Waqf property may also be used for a Muslim cemetery.
