 abstract={Dialogue in the family plays a significant role in shaping family members’ personalitiesand involving them in social life. The proper development of dialogue may be influencedby many factors e.g. dangers resulting from the randomness of life. In a family of a disabled child additional difficulties occur which may affect the functioning of the family members. The way of perceiving disability depends on one’s role in the family. A disabled child experiences their difficulties differently than their parents or siblings. However, the feeling of isolation may be common for both the child and their family. In that case there is no opportunity for dialogue which would normally be a factor limiting the destructive influence of disability.},
