Its educational influence was essential in the process of the preservation of their own individuality. Tatar families acted according to basic functions, which have stayed the same for centuries, only their significance and stress could change depending on economic, social, and cultural changes influencing the family environment. The aim of the following article is an analysis of Tatar families as a basic educational environment being a basis of preservation of cultural and religious differences of Tatar communities.
