The author points out a hermeneutic impulse for understanding the relationship between utopia and education: the experience of questionnes or the questionnes of experience. It is expressed in the motif of being a guardian of openness and the possibility of creativity. The author also offers an intellectual exercise to grasp the meaning of education that goes beyond the instrumental meaning (education as a tool to improve the world). The article ends with the conclusion that education is, in a sense, eudcation, that is, a participation in the joy of recognizing a happy, fulfilled life.
