Wydział Prawa, Administracji i Ekonomii Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego}, language={pol}, abstract={The development of the renewable energy market depends on the adopted legal solutions and economic as far as the parties involved in the process are concerned. At the same time, it is related to the emergence of a new type of participant – a prosumer, combining two previously separate roles – consumer and producer. Contrary to its original assumptions, the modern prosumer is not only the one who produces for his own needs, but an entity that makes the surplus production available on the market, reaping specific benefits. The new rules for financing investments with the use of photovoltaic panels and the settlement of energy surpluses introduced from 01/04/2022 verify the current strong position of the prosumer and provoke questions about the direction of further development of the individualized renewable energy market. The aim of the publication is to characterize the prosumer as a new entity on the distributed generation market and to analyze the role it plays in the context of legislative solutions in force before and after December 2, 2021. Its implementation was carried out on the basis of a comparative analysis using the deductive method and a critical review of the literature on the subject. The conclusions resulting from the article indicate a clear depreciation of the prosumer role in the renewable energy market. The aim is to slow down the production rate of energy surpluses in a systematic way and transfer to a prosumer problems with energy storage as a way to eliminate periodic overloads of the infrastructure network that is not adapted to their acceptance.}, type={text}, title={Paradygmat prosumenta wobec aktualnych wyzwań transformacji energetycznej}, doi={https://doi.org/10.34616/145039}, keywords={prosumer, prosumption, renewable energy, photovoltaic panels}, }
