 abstract={The article presents a crime novel from a psychological, literary, and legal perspective. In the character creation of one of the protagonists – Eric Berne, the theme of life scripts (family scenarios) was exposed. The text has been divided into several parts, including the scripting apparatus construction, the role of the journalist in the context of family scenarios, the composition and plot of the novel, construction solutions, legal and criminological foundations of a crime novel, historical, and literary contexts. The text refers, among others, to the beginnings of novels based on a mystery, which should be associated with the development of the press.},
