History didactics staff is made up of a group of about 50 people, professionally practicing this history subdiscipline. The currently binding act on higher education has assigned these educators to very different organizational structures, which has a negative impact on the education process. Apart from responsibilities performed on universities, history educators work in other fields, carrying out scientific, popularization and educational tasks. They are active in Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences committees, ministerial textbook commissions, work in regionalism movement and help organize the History Olympiad.
