 abstract={The article focuses on pro-social attitudes, which undoubtedly constitute the foundation of the society. The complexity of the analyzed area, especially the atypical period of the pandemic, encouraged the use of a kind of triangulation of research methods – desk research and individual in-depth interviews (IDI). Data obtained from secondary sources makes it possible to capture this field during the pandemic and compared to previous years. The authorʼs own research is based on individual in-depth interviews with a demographically and geographically diverse group conducted online and by phone at the turn of 2020 and 2021, i.e. during the coronavirus pandemic. The aim was to find out about the respondentsʼ attitude to pro-social activities, their observation of people in need of help, as well as to show the helpers and their charity activities. The results show that respondents want to help those in need of help and to infect others with this attitude. They see our society as conducive to helping. They show a wide range of possibilities in this regard. They use various forms of helping, seeing the needs of others even more. An optimistic vision of society appears on the horizon, based on, inter alia, how civically important are pro-social attitudes.},
