The research methodology used in the analysis of literature (Polish and foreign) and electronic sources presenting the most important directions and trends in public health. In a problematic pandemic situation determining the functioning of the health service, digital solutions, and medical innovations, on the one hand, relieving medical staff, and on the other – supporting the fight against coronavirus, turned out to be the rescue. The transformation of the health care system is mainly expressed by digitizing medical care processes over the patient and by computerization that improves communication between medical personnel–patient–family. There is no doubt that the pandemic significantly accelerated the digitization of medical services, which positively impacted the dynamic development of innovative solutions in mobile health. The article discusses the epidemiological situation in the world associated with the spread of the coronavirus. The issues of conscious health management and sustainable development of the medical industry were discussed. Attention was paid to the role of artificial intelligence in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Narrative medicine as a response to the technicization of treatment was presented.}, title={Directions of development of the medical industry in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic}, type={text}, doi={10.34616/142092}, keywords={the medical industry, COVID-19 pandemic, conscious health management, mHealth, narrative medicine}, }
