Historically, the original form of imperativism, jusnaturalism went through various stages of development, creating various and sometimes contradicting trends with each other. Popular concepts of Christian and secular natural law were broken by Edmund Burke – an Irish member of the British Whigs. He developed the doctrine of evolutionary conservatism and the natural rights were an aspect which was fundamental for it.
