 abstract={The subject of the article is the myth of Heracles in Book IV of the Historical Library of Diodorus Siculus. There are also other references to Heracles in Diodorus’ work. The author of the article has briefly presented the contents of the book in question and concludes with some general comments. He has also suggested ways in which we can explain the origins of Heracles’ travels around his contemporary oikumene.},
