abstract={The problem of the relationship between human and nature is currently one of the most important issues in the natural sciences, as well as in the humanities and social sciences. These analyses focus on the issue of humans’ unprecedented impact on planet Earth, marking, according to many researchers, a new geological period. It is most commonly referred to as the ‘Anthropocene’, although terms such as ‘Capitalocene’ and ‘Necrocene’ are also applied toit. This issue is also an important subject of consideration within critical thought. On the one hand, its representatives develop reflections on the threats posed tothe ecosystem by capitalism, technological civilization, or, more generally, the modern condition. On the other hand, they conduct research on the changes that would have to be made in all these spheres in order to build more harmonious relationships between human and nature. These analyses – as I show in this article – are characterized by the dialectic of dystopian and utopian thought. Relativizing the status quo by portraying the future in black is closely linked to attempts to instill critical hope and to induce far-reaching changes in social practices and institutions.},
