 abstract={The aim of this article is to present the issue of computational thinking in the broader context of English-language literature in the areas of self-development activities, taking into account the concept of the family environment influence. The term „computational thinking” is already present in various educational studies but is rarely considered in a broader educational context such as family or self-improvement. The article signals problems that were previously flagged by experts in the subject, and which have only intensified as a result of post-pandemic education. Possible directions of development of informal education in the use of technology based on hard statistical data are also presented.},
