TY - GEN A1 - Biedroń, Małgorzata PB - Instytut Pedagogiki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego N2 - Many scholars point to the fact that the logic of economics: maximization of utility, profit and productivity, is found not only in the rules of free-market economy, work or consumption of goods and services, but also in the sphere of interpersonal relations. Commonly used terms, words, or phraseologies that describe relationship with another person, point to the penetration of the logic of hard economics into this sphere of life. According to the thesis of language determinism, the language we use in communication with others also has the power to create reality. The unreflective use of certain concepts makes them a part of the familiar „normal world”, not only do not arouse resentment, but even surprise or dissonance, moreover, affect our behaviour in the face of various events and with other people.
